The present invention relates to a digital broadcast system. More specifically, the present invention inserts known data known by the transmitter/receiver in a specific place (or position) of the data domain which enhanced data is transmitted and transmits the data. And the receiver may use the known data during the demodulating and equalizing process, thereby enhance a receiving performance in a frequent change in channel and which require protection (or resistance) against intense noise. The invention also performs a soft decision and error correction decoding process on the enhanced data, thereby may enhance the performance of the error correction decode.
