In the embodiment shown a member 6 is provided upstream of the opening (see also Fig. 1, not shown) to stop coins of above a predetermined maximum diameter and the depth of the groove 7 is at least equal to the difference between a predetermined minimum diameter of coin to be accepted and said predetermined maximum diameter. |
