Improvement of adehesion of rubber to text- - iles or metal

Adhesion by vulcanisation onto the support of rubber mixtures based on natural or synthetic rubbers which are mixed with reactive, light-coloured and/or black fillers, and phenols and/or amines and aldehydes or aldehyde donors (these being starting materials for formation of adhesively-reactive condensation resins) is improved by adding to the vulcanisable compn. during its preparation a rubber contg. functional epoxy-, aldehyde- or vinylpyridine-groups. This latter rubber contains in its chain a monomer of the type R-R' wherein R is an epoxy-, aldehyde- or vinylpyridine- grp., and R' is a residue contg. at least one C=C double bond. Adhesion is higher than in known combinations, both in static and in dynamic conditions.
