<p>A planetary gear pump operates in conjunction with an extruder for viscous masses e.g. natural or man-made rubber, and has a sun wheel (12) intermeshing with several planetary wheels (20, 22, 24, 26). The planetary gear pump (10) has two or more individual pumps with sun wheels whose planetary wheels are transposed with respect to each other, as seen from the radial and circumferential aspects. Each pump has two planetary wheels, at 90 to each other as seen with respect to the circumference. The inlet and outlet passages are transposed with respect to the planetary wheel on the adjacent pump. The individual pumps operate in series, each contributing to the buildup in pressure.</p> |
