A method for providing an exercise management service using a mobile terminal is provided to allow a user to simply watch exercise-related data of each time period and body measurement data received from a sport outfit or a body measurement machine and check his/her amount of exercise or a change of physical strength through a mobile terminal. Certain exercise-related data and/or certain body measurement data obtained upon using a certain sport outfit and/or a certain body measurement machine are stored in an IrFM(Infrared Financial Messaging) chip(S11). An IrDA(Infrared Data Association) port installed in a mobile terminal approaches the IrFM chip installed at the sport outfit and/or the body measurement machine and receives the exercise-related data and/or body measurement data stored in the IrFM chip(S12). The received exercise-related data and/or body measurement data are changed to a data format managed by the mobile terminal and stored(S13). When an exercise management menu is selected, the stored exercise-related data and/or the body measurement data is displayed(S14).
