The device has a hydraulic circuit with a brake line (60) connected to a hydraulic pump (50) or a reservoir without pressure (R) via a proportioning pressure reducing valve (62). Electro-valves control a hydraulic selector (70) to select a connection of an additional brake line (68) with an input section (58) or the reservoir. An electronic control unit (ECU) receives information (IS) relative to the type of the braking system and brake information (F), and controls the electro-valves based on the information. The selector is maintained in position when the control of the valves is stopped.
