Method and apparatus for producing a pressurised high purity liquid carbon dioxide stream

A pressurized high purity liquid carbon dioxide streams produced by purifying a feed stream composed of carbon dioxide vapor within a purifying filter (12) and then condensing it within a condenser (20). The resulting liquid is then alternately introduced and dispensed from two first and second pressure accumulation chambers (28,30). The first and second pressure accumulation chambers (28,30) are heated by electrical heaters (32,34) to pressurize the liquid to the required or desired delivery pressure of the pressurized liquid carbon dioxide stream. Such stream is alternately extracted from the first and second pressure accumulation chambers (28,30) on a continuous basis in which one of the first and second pressure accumulation chambers (28,30) acts in a dispensing role while the other is being filled.
