OPTICAL PLATE AND BACKLIGHT ASSEMBLY AND DISPLAY DEVICE HAVING THE SAME

An optical plate, and a backlight assembly and a display apparatus having the same are provided to form prisms on a base member, thereby exiting the light uniformly. A flat base member(32) includes a transparent plastic plate with thickness of about 1-2mm. A lens member(34) includes prisms having a concave member formed at the top thereof. The pitch of the prisms is about 50 to 300 micrometers. A UV(Ultraviolet) light shielding layer(36) is formed at the rear of the flat base member so that the light beam with high energy wavelength toward the flat base member is shielded. The prisms enhance the uniformity of the light beam via the base member. The concave member is formed in parallel to the expansion direction of prisms. The prism has a semi-circle shape protruded from the base member. The radius of the semicircle shape is about 25 to 150 micrometers.
