A profile rail system is provided to bridge an expansion joint and a recess between floor coverings and to install the wanted floor covering simply. The profile rail system(1) for bridging an expansion joint, floor covering transitions and a recess includes floor coverings(2) provided with an undercut groove(3) and a projection(4) to be fitted with each other by click connection, two profile rails(5,6) engaged with each other to be connected to the floor coverings simply, and two base rails(7) arranged in the U-shape and provided with plural upward stiffening ribs(8) to regulate the height of the profile rail system by stages, an end vertical web(9) and a housing fixture(10) to couple with a downward vertical web(11).
