LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE HAVING SPACER ELEMENTS RESTRICTING SUBSTRATE GAP

An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) apparatus having spacer elements for restricting a substrate gap is provided to have the uniform substrate inside gap and to reduce the non-uniformity. A pair of substrates(1,2) are oppositely located to each other. Electrodes(10) are arranged at the inside of the substrates. A sealing frame(3) surrounds the outside of a display area between the substrates and combines a substrate layer with a predetermined gap(101) having a liquid crystal layer. Plural distance maintaining devices(12) are dispersed between the substrates and have the diameter for limiting the length of a gap between the substrates. Support layers(6,7,8,9) are arranged between the substrates and at the gap between the display area and connected with the distance maintaining device close to the sealing frame.
