A re-connection method in case of a call connection failure of a mobile terminal is provided to improve the speech quality service to a terminal user through a CDMA2000 1x system by allowing the terminal to attempt a call connection again to the CDMA2000 1x system when it fails a call connection due to a network error of a CDMA2000 1x system. A mobile terminal attempts a call connection to a 2G system, and in this case, the mobile terminal requests tuning to a CDMA2000 1x system(S200,S210,S220,S230,S240). The mobile terminal receives an SRM(Service Redirection Message) indicating that the CDMA2000 1x system is designated as redirection from the 2G system(S250). The mobile terminal obtains the CDMA2000 1x system upon receiving the SRM, and attempts a call connection(S260,S270,S280).
