FIELD: devices using cold materials, namely liquefied gases. ^ SUBSTANCE: device for low temperature vessel filling comprises heat-insulated inner vessel case and filling pipeline provided with jointing assembly. The jointing assembly comprises check valve. Filling pipeline has drainage pipe with control valve at outlet thereof. Drainage pipe is arranged between vessel inlet and jointing assembly. Vessel filling method involves supplying high-pressure coolant and measuring temperature thereof; performing preliminary drainage of coolant dose as coolant is supplied in heat-insulated inner case at the beginning of filling operation before coolant passage in the case. If coolant temperature in heat-insulated inner case exceeds predetermined temperature level drained coolant dose is increased. If temperature is stabilized the drainage operation is stopped. ^ EFFECT: increased time of vessel filling. ^ 2 cl, 1 dwg
