Asymmetrical centrifugal mould - fitted with balancing pockets

To balance the masses of casting material of asymmetrical contour centrifugal castings of accurate dimensions in sand lined moulds, the sand lining of the moulds is provided with balancing pockets which are connected with the main mould cavity of the centrifugal head. The pockets may be shaped by any of the conventional foundry core making techniques.
