A traffic information reception terminal and a traffic information output method thereof are provided to enable a user to easily recognize traffic information by guiding the traffic information on respective links required by the user. A traffic information reception terminal includes a user path management unit(210), a database(212), a traffic information receiver(202), a controller(208), and a screen(214). The user path management unit receives a predetermined input from a user and generates at least one user path. The database stores the generated user paths. The traffic information receiver receives traffic information data from a broadcasting network. The controller selects one of the user paths according to the control of the user and outputs traffic information data corresponding to the selected user path. The screen displays the traffic information data corresponding to the user path.
