FIELD: processes and apparatuses for cold pressure welding of ductile metals and removing fins after welding. ^ SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes set of two pairs of die halves mounted with formation of through duct in plane of their parting. Additional duct is formed in said plane and it has axis parallel relative to that of main duct. Set of die halves includes four cams. Through ducts are formed by turnings made on inner mutually adjacent and arranged in the same plane surfaces of each pair of cams. Diameter of turning of additional duct of each pair of cams exceeds diameter of turning of additional duct made in other pair of cams. Such method allows make articles not needing mechanical manual lapping. ^ EFFECT: improved quality of article surface due to complete removal of fins in zone of welded seam of ductile metals welded by cold butt welding. ^ 5 dwg
