CONNECTION METHOD FOR MULTICAST & BROADCAST SERVICE IN BROADBAND WIRELESS ACCESS SYSTEM

A method for setting an MBS(Multicast and Broadcast Service) of a broadband wireless access system is provided to prevent a waste of bandwidth between a base station and a terminal of a network. A base station previously receives MBS setting information from an MBS server and stores it. The base station broadcasts the stored MBS setting information to a terminal located within its service area. In broadcasting the MBS setting information, a pre-set pilot tone is used for the broadcasting, uplink/downlink information is used, and sub-carrier which has not been used yet within a system bandwidth is used.
