A mobile terminal for providing weather information of a movement path and a method thereof are provided to provide a stable movement path with better weather condition to a user in providing navigation information. A wireless communication unit(12) performs wireless communication with respect to a mobile communication network, transmits/receives data related to determining of a location of a mobile terminal, and transmits/receives movement path map and weather information. A GPS receiving unit(13) receives GPS signals from multiple GPS artificial satellites by using data for determining the location from the mobile communication network, and determines the location of the mobile terminal. A controller(11) transmits the determined location of the mobile terminal to the mobile communication network, requests the movement path map and weather information from the mobile communication network, and receives the same. A display processor(15) displays the movement path map and weather information.
