The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for removing, or substantially reducing, the limescale deposits within a water heater of a beverage dispensing machine, by inducing ultrasonic vibrations through an ultrasonic generator. Advantageously the step of inducing ultrasonic vibrations is implemented discontinuously at high energy levels. |
