Method for re-shaping moulded parts

The method involves heating the prefabricated moulded plastics components (1) in the areas which are to be reshaped through a heating device (4) such as an infra red radiator up to the most-suitable re-shaping temperature and then using a reshaping tool (2, 3) to reshape the area as required. Partially crystalline and amorphous plastics as well as polymer blends are the preferred plastics used for the raw materials. Independent claim describes moulded part especially for use as vehicle component, more particularly for an inner trim of a vehicle door, manufactured as above. Switches, lights and other functional parts can be incorporated into the indentations produced by the reshaping process.
