A composition comprising an extract of leaves of Solanum nigrum Linne is provided to show strong antibacterial property against Pythium aphanidermatum, which is a causing bacteria of pythium blight, so as to be able to control the pythium blight and be able to eliminate the causing bacteria of the phythium blight at relatively low cost without using a pesticide. The composition for controlling pythium blight comprises 0.02-0.03 wt.% of an extract of leaves of Solanum nigrum Linne as an effective ingredient. The composition further comprises 200-300 ppm of an extract of Nerium indicum leaves. To control the pythium blight, the composition for controlling pythium blight is applied to lawn grass or golf field. |
