BACKLIGHT UNIT AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE HAVING THE SAME

A backlight unit and an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) having the same are provided to connect a lamp clip with an inverter without using a separate lamp electrode line. A lamp(200) generates the light beam. Lamp clips(310,320) are combined with the lamp and supply the power supplied from the outside to the lamp. A PCB(Printed Circuit Board)(130) includes a seating member for seating the lamp clips. An inverter circuit member(430) supplies the power to the lamp clips. A bottom chassis(900) offers a space for receiving the lamp and the PCB. An inverter is mounted to the inverter circuit member. The PCB includes circuit patterns for electrically connecting the lamp clips with the inverter. The lamp clips are fixed on the circuit patterns by soldering. An opening portion corresponding to the PCB is formed at the bottom of the bottom chassis. The PCB is inserted into the opening portion.
