<p>The mechanism has an ink tank (14), and a pellicular ink feed roller (16) that is movable in rotation around an axis. An ink fountain roller (18) is movable in rotation around another axis and transfers ink from the ink tank to the ink feed roller. A detection unit (28) evaluates an actual distance between the two rollers in a print width (L), detects an angular shift of the axes with respect to each other and provides an output signal representing the angular shift. An independent claim is also included for a method of adjusting an inking mechanism of a printing unit.</p> |
