An apparatus for controlling an image offset of an LCD projector and a portable terminal employing the same are provided to enable a user to control a size or a position of a wanted screen according to an external environment without other special screen unit. An apparatus for controlling an image offset of an LCD projector includes a projecting lens unit(14), a lens housing(11), a rotating unit(12), and a controller(13). The projecting lens unit, having plural projecting lenses, arranges LCD panels at different positions in order to have different image offsets. The lens housing installs the projecting lenses near one another. The rotating unit rotates the lens housing. The controller controls the rotating unit such that the project lens is selected by rotating the lens housing in order for a user to select a wanted image offset.
