A controller for a pump (602a, fig 6) includes an actuator 511, 521 coupled to a control console 502 of the pump, preferably by a magnet. It also includes a connector, which may take the form of a drive wheel 523, drive-belt or connecting rod. The connector couples the actuator to a pump control mechanism, which is preferably in the form of a control knob 504 or lever. The actuator may be set to operate the control knob to a desired amplitude and frequency in conjunction with a computer or other electronic system. |
