A blowing fan and a display apparatus having the same are provided to reduce the number of blowing fans by producing the bidirectional flows of an axial flow and a transverse flow in one blowing fan. A blowing fan includes a drive motor(110), a plurality of blades(120), and a housing(130). The plurality of blades is connected to the drive motor to be rotated. The housing includes a housing body, an air suction section, an axial flow air discharge section(137), and a transverse flow air discharge section(139). The drive motor and a blade is accommodated in the housing body. The air suction section is provided in the housing body to suck air toward the blade. The axial flow air discharge section is provided in the direction of the rotational axis line of the blade. The transverse flow air discharge section is provided in the transverse direction of the rotational axis line. The housing body has a cylindrical accommodation section in which the drive motor and the blade is accommodated. The transverse flow air discharge section is formed by opening one side of the inner peripheral surface of the accommodation section. An inclined section is formed on the inner peripheral surface of the accommodation section so that the air discharge area can be increased toward the axial flow air discharge section.
