A method for controlling the temperature of a grill microwave oven is provided to prevent rapid lowering of the food temperature through a heater. A grill microwave oven controls a magnetron illuminating microwaves into the interior of a cooking chamber and a heater(30) installed on one side of the interior of the cooking chamber to heat the interior of the cooking chamber through an overheating interrupter. If the temperature of the interior of the cooking chamber is heated above a upper limit temperature of the overheating interrupter by the magnetron and the heater and the overheating interrupter is opened, the heater is individually turned on to prevent rapid lowering of the temperature of the interior of the cooking chamber.
