<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely acquire time information by receiving a radio wave while reducing comparing, selecting, and receiving operations which consume electric power, wherein the time information transmitted with the radio waves of a plurality of frequencies are periodically and alternatively selected and received. <P>SOLUTION: The method is that among the radio waves transmitted with a plurality of frequencies including a standard time, a wave of some frequency is selectively and periodically received so as to modify the time of a clock. If the periodical receiving operation with any frequency is failed to receive, the radio wave of other frequency than the previously failed frequency is received for the next periodical receiving operation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
