An apparatus and a method for preventing the dazzling phenomenon due to voice recognition are provided to perform a welding light shielding function through a voice recognition technique, thereby controlling various functions without the help of user's hands during a welding work. A light detecting member(30) detects the welding light beam through a signal inputted from an optical sensor. A voice recognition member(10) recognizes the voice command of a user. A main control member sets a reference value for controlling the detection sensitivity of the light detecting member according to the voice command and sets the light transmission concentration and driving delay time of a dazzling phenomenon prevention plate. The main control member discriminates whether the light amount detected by the light detecting member exceeds the previously set reference value. When the light amount detected by the light detecting member exceeds the previously set reference value, the main control member discriminates the light as the welding light beam and thereafter drives a light transmission control member(50). The light transmission control member drives the dazzling phenomenon prevention member so that the light transmission rate is controlled as below the constant amount. |
