A suction nozzle for a vacuum cleaner is provided to duplicate a cleaning capability by cleaning in front and rear directions with using only one flexible blade which reciprocates. A suction nozzle(200) for a vacuum cleaner includes a case(210), flexible blades(230), and a front/rear reciprocation member. An inlet(202) is formed on a bottom of the case. The case comprises a lower case(210a) and an upper case. The inlet is formed on the lower case. The upper case is assembled to the lower case. The front/rear reciprocation member locates the flexible blade in front and rear of the inlet by reciprocating the flexible blade and consists of slots(220a,220b) and guide bars. The slots are formed in front and rear direction on right and left side of the inlet. The guide bars are arranged on the slots and support the flexible blade.
