PREPARATION OF FOAM MATERIALS FROM RAPIDLY CURABLE HIGH INTERNAL PHASE EMULSIONS

The application relates to a process for the preparation of a microporous, open-celled polymeric foam material by polymerizing a high internal phase emulsion, which has relatively small amount of continuous oil phase and relatively greater amount of a discontinuous aqueous phase. The present application relates to use of monomer compositions having short curing times for preparing such foam materials fro m the emulsion, while achieving the required physical properties of the foam.
