A fluid-pressure amplifier comprises a valve (10) Fig. 1 (not shown) movable in response to two pressure input signals to control the flow of fluid from chamber (13) to a chamber (14). The chamber (14) has a manually adjustable throttle valve (12) controlling leakage to atmosphere and a signal output (p1). The valve is adjusted by a lever (6) subjected to a pressure (Po) acting on the outside of a bellows (2) and a pressure (po) acting on the inside of a bellows (3). The bellows are constructed with rigid central rings between the corrugations which limit the collapsing movement of the bellows. The pressure supplied to chamber (13) also passes through perforated diaphragms (8) and (9), which support the valve, to a chamber having an outlet port (15) to the atmosphere and this maintains a pressure acting in bellows (2) and outside bellows (3) which is slightly above ambient pressure. The amplifier may be used in an aircraft control system when the pressure (Po) is the total pressure and pressure (po) is the static pressure. In a modification, the valve (21), Fig. 3 (not shown) is moved by a single bellows (20) whose exterior is subjected to the pressure (Po) and whose interior is subjected to a pressure in chamber (C) which is controlled by a valve (26) moved by a bellows (27). The bellows (27) receives the pressure [po) and opens the valve (26) to prevent the pressure in chamber (C) exceeding a value above (po).</p>
