The invention relates to a blow moulding machine (10) which is used to produce containers from preforms. The inventive machine comprises at least one rotating table (12) which is equipped with a bracket (16) that supports two mould halves(20, 22) which are used to form the body of the container and a mould base (32) which is used to form the base of the container. The invention is of the type in which the mould base (32) is driven by a cam system (46) such as to slide vertically. The invention is characterised in that the bracket (16) comprises at least one return member which biases the mould base (32) towards the upper position thereof. The invention is also characterised in that the cam system (46) comprises a cam follower element (52) which is slidably connected to the mould base (32) and which co-operates with a downward-facing control surface (54).
