A method for creating a code sequence in a communication system, a method for transmitting a signal, a transmitting apparatus, a code sequence, and a code sequence set are provided to maximize the efficiency of utilization by maintaining or improving a correlation characteristic in increasing the number of code sequences having a usable, regular length. A code sequence set, composed of unit code sequences having a length of "L", is created according to a code creation algorithm(S301). An iterative code sequence set including iterative code sequences, created as the unit code sequences of the code sequence set respectively are iterated "Nr" times, is created(S303). Masking using an orthogonal code having a length of "Nr" is performed for each of the iterative code sequences of the iterative code sequence set(S305). |
