A colloidal solution of metal or mixture of metals in the water contains nanoparticles of the metal, the particle sizes are from 1 nm to 100 nm. The metals are selected from the group, which consists of silver, gold, platinum, copper, palladium, rhodium, iridium, tantalum, nickel, vanadium, molybdenum, cobalt, iron, manganese, tungsten, chromium, zinc, tin, zirconium, niobium, titanium, aluminium, magnesium. The ratio of the mass of metal ions to the mass of the nanoparticles of metal in the solution is mainly less than 10-4, and metallic nanoparticles with polar molecules of water form chelate compounds.
