A pencil comprises monolithic nonseparable pivotal housing from wood, along axis of which is made an open-end hole for positioning in it of fixed writing graphite rod, and also on one end of the housing is located the elastic (India-rubber), which is intended for erasure of written text. The elastic is made in the form of a cap of outwardly parallelepiped form with central longitudinal through or "blind" hole with diameter somewhat less than the diameter of the pencil housing.
