A mobile communication terminal having a diversity receiving function is provided to generate a local frequency signal for frequency tracking by using a signal whose signal characteristic is better, out of a main receiving signal and a diversity receiving signal, thereby improving frequency tracking efficiency. A main receiving signal processor(100) receives a main receiving signal. A diversity receiving signal processor(200) receives a diversity receiving signal. A selector(400) selectively outputs receiving signal pairs individually outputted from the processors(100,200) by being controlled by a predetermined switching control signal, for frequency error tracking of a receiving port. A frequency error compensator(500) compensates frequency errors of the outputted signals of the selector(400). A local frequency signal output unit(600) outputs a local frequency signal for the frequency error tracking of the receiving port by using the outputted signals of the compensator(500). A controller(700) determines main weight by a main receiving signal characteristic, determines diversity weight by a diversity receiving signal characteristic, and compares the main weight with the diversity weight to output the switching control signal.
