A light emission device and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to concentrate light in one direction by controlling a viewing angle through double molding. An light emission chip is mounted on a substrate(110). A first mold part(130) is formed of a transparent resin and encapsulates the light emission chip. A second mold part(140) is formed of an untransparent resin and molds a region excluding a portion of the first mold part. An electrode is connected to the light emission chip by a wire. The first mold part includes a side surface extending upwardly from one side surface of the substrate, and the second mold part molds a region excluding the side surface of the first molding part. The first mold part has a sectional shape of an arc or a triangle.
