A method for creating and recognizing remote control signals is provided to prevent a remote controller from operating other mobile terminals by converting the ESN(Electronic Serial Number), phone number, or MIN(Mobile Identification Number) of a mobile terminal into an authentication signal through an authentication unit between the mobile terminal and a remote controller and adding the authentication signal to a remote control signal. A remote control signal of a remote controller, which operates the functions of a specific mobile terminal, is composed of a combination of a data signal to operate a specific function of the mobile terminal and an authentication signal to execute the authentication between the mobile terminal and the remote controller. The authentication signal is formed, based on the unique information of the mobile terminal, such as the ESN, phone number, or MIN of the mobile terminal. Also the authentication signal is created as one of the ESN, phone number, and MIN of the mobile terminal is converted into a binary.
