A system capable of separately controlling a plurality of image devices and a control method therefor are provided to increase the convenience of a user by displaying information for discriminating an image device which the user wants to control and the other image devices when controlling a plurality of the image devices. A remote controller(201) transmits an access code for releasing a locking function of a plurality of image devices(210) in which a remote controller locking function is set up. A plurality of the image devices(210) judges whether the access code transmitted from the remote controller(201) is identical to a predetermined access code, and displays the judged result.
