A method for adjusting a write voltage of an optical disc is provided to change an X-speed rating of the optical disc and a period of a predetermined write voltage, perform OPC(Optimum Power Control), and set a write voltage with the minimum jitter value as the optimum write voltage. A control unit primarily performs OPC according to a predetermined write strategy and a supportable X-speed rating of an optical disc(S10,S20). The control unit selects an X-speed rating with the minimum jitter value according as the OPC is performed(S30). The control unit adjusts a write voltage period of the predetermined write strategy of the optical disc by a predetermined range, and secondarily performs the OPC(S40,S50). The control unit sets a write voltage period with the minimum jitter value among jitter values according as the OPC is primarily and secondarily performed(S60). The control unit writes data of the optical disc in the selected X-speed rating and the set write voltage period(S70).
