A coating material for preparing an insulation film of a grain-oriented magnetic steel sheet which is excellent in external shape of the film and adhesion property between a workpiece and the film and obtains more improved tension allowance ability as compared with existing coating materials, and a preparation method thereof are provided. An insulation coating material for grain-oriented magnetic steel sheet with excellent film adhesion property and tension allowance ability is prepared by adding 25 to 50 g of colloidal silica-aluminum phosphate as a solid weight, 15 to 30 g of colloidal silica as a solid weight, 3 to 7 g of boric acid and 5 to 15 g of chromium oxide to 100 g of a mixed phosphate solution of aluminum dihydrogen phosphate(Al(H2PO4)3) and magnesium dihydrogen phosphate(Mg(H2PO4)2) or 100 g of a mixed phosphate solution of aluminum dihydrogen phosphate(Al(H2PO4)3) and zinc dihydrogen phosphate(Zn(H2PO4)2). A preparation method of an insulation coating material for grain-oriented magnetic steel sheet with excellent film adhesion property and tension allowance ability comprises: adding 3 to 7 g of boric acid to 100 g of a mixed phosphate solution of aluminum dihydrogen phosphate and magnesium dihydrogen phosphate or 100 g of a mixed phosphate solution of aluminum dihydrogen phosphate and zinc dihydrogen phosphate, holding the mixed solution at 90 deg.C for 3 hours, and adding 25 to 50 g of colloidal silica-aluminum phosphate as a solid weight and 15 to 30 g of colloidal silica as a solid weight to the reactant. The preparation further comprises adding 5 to 15 g of chromium oxide to the insulating coating material. |
