A method for controlling an entry into a dehydration operation of a drum type washing machine is provided to determine an eccentricity reference value according to a load when starting the dehydration operation by detecting the load at the initial stage of the washing operation. A method for controlling an entry into a dehydration operation of a drum type washing machine includes the steps of: checking a load at the initial state of a washing operation if the washing operation of the drum type washing machine is started(S2); and performing a dehydration operation by determining an eccentricity reference value according to a load checked at the initial stage of the washing operation(S6). The load is checked by checking the attaining time to a predetermined RPM. The eccentricity reference value is determined with reference to a memory table having eccentricity information according to the load. |
