A control device for an elevator, having a means for controlling operation with door closed for an extended time period and a means for canceling the operation with door closed. The means for controlling operation with door closed for an extended time period has a parameter setting section for individually setting and changing control parameters. The control parameters each includes a time zone in which operation with door closed for an extended time period is possible and that is specified according to elevator operation conditions, and including an operation time period that is from the start to cancellation of operation with door closed for an extended time period and is set by a timer for extending door closure time period, where the timer is initialized at the time of the start of operation with door closed for an extended time period. The means for canceling operation with door closed for an extended time period is activated by an operation cancellation command and outputs a command for canceling operation with door closed for an extended time period. During operation with door closed for an extended time period that is activated by a command from the means for controlling operation with door closed for an extended period of time and in which a command for canceling the operation is not received, a door is kept closed without allocating landing calls.
