A paper sheet discrimination device, a paper sheet processing device, and a paper sheet discrimination method are provided to exactly correct the change of discrimination performance between the devices without requiring the correction coefficients for each type of a paper sheet. A paper sheet discrimination device is composed of a detecting unit(10) optically detecting a paper sheet(P); a discrimination unit discriminating the polluted state of the paper sheet on the basis of the detection result of the detecting unit; and a storing unit storing correction coefficients for correcting the change of discrimination performance between the devices, correspondingly to each shape of the paper sheet in advance. The correction coefficients are prepared for each shape of the paper sheet by using a mutual relation between the detection result obtained by sensing a reference paper sheet of the specific shape through the detecting unit of the reference device, and the detection result obtained by sensing the reference paper sheet through the detecting unit of the device to be corrected. The discrimination unit reads the correction coefficient corresponding to the shape of the paper sheet sensed by the detecting unit and judges the polluted state of the paper sheet through the correction coefficient.
