摘要 A power saving device in a display system using a diffraction optical modulator is provided to reduce transistor switching current of a driver IC(Integrated Circuit) stage by forming a one-dimensional sub mask corresponding to an image scanning direction and removing salt and pepper noise through the operation of an input image and the sub mask, thereby reducing the total power consumption. In a display system using a diffraction optical modulator(310), a power saving device is composed of an image input unit(402) for receiving an image signal; a noise removing unit(403) for outputting the image signal after removing noise, when the image signal is input from the image input unit; a driving signal control unit(406) for outputting a driving control signal for driving the diffraction optical modulator according to the image signal input from the noise removing unit; and a driver IC(407) for generating an image by outputting the driving signal for driving the diffraction optical modulator, if the driving control signal of the diffraction optical modulator is input from the driving signal control unit.
