A variable vacuum pump is provided to maintain an operating state of the vacuum pump in a best condition for reducing friction during a driving time. A variable vacuum pump includes a pump housing(32), a rotor(26), a round inner housing(36), a normal and reverse motor(40). The pump housing is oval and includes a straight line guide surface. The rotor includes a vane(28) with a radial shape in the oval pump housing. The round inner housing includes the rotor and the vane and is connected to a reciprocating rotating shaft(34) for moving in the oval pump housing. The normal and reverse motor rotates the reciprocating rotating shaft installed connecting to the round inner housing and operates with an electrical signal of an electrical control unit at outside of the oval pump housing.
