An organic light emitting diode and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to prevent deterioration of electric characteristics of a cathode layer or the organic light emitting diode by preventing an insulating layer and the cathode layer from directly contacting each other through a buffer layer. An organic light emitting diode includes a plurality of anode layers(102) arranged along one direction on a transparent substrate(100). An insulating film(104) is arranged in a lattice shape on the transparent substrate(100) and the plurality of anode layers(102) to define a plurality of pixel openings(106) on the anode layer(102). A separator is arranged on the insulating film(104) in a direction orthogonal to the plurality of anode layers(102). A buffer layer(114) is arranged on the insulating film(104) parallel to the plurality of anode layers(102). An organic film layer(110) is formed on the anode layer(102) of the pixel opening(106). A cathode layer(112) is formed on the buffer layer(114) and the organic film layer(110). |
