摘要 A mechanical valve system and a wall-climbing robot having the same are provided to reduce a weight and improve the energy efficiency in comparison with a solenoid method by utilizing a plurality of simply controlled valves. A wall-climbing robot includes a body(200), a caterpillar wheel(100), a motor(300), a mechanical valve(20), and a guide. The caterpillar wheel has a plurality of absorbing pads(10). The motor rotates and drives the caterpillar wheel. The mechanical valve opens and closes air pressure provided to the absorbing pads. The guide controls opening and closing of the mechanical valve according to rotation of the caterpillar wheel, and guides movement of the absorbing pads according to the rotation of the caterpillar wheel. The absorbing pads are contacted to a wall of the caterpillar wheel according as the caterpillar wheel rotates.
