A container, a backlight assembly having the same, and a display device are provided to reduce the loss of light emitted from a point light source, by forming an interval controlling part on a sidewall or a bottom plate of the container so as to reduce an interval between the point light source and a light guiding unit. A container comprises a bottom plate on which a light guiding unit(110) is placed, a sidewall disposed on a peripheral region of the bottom plate to face a side surface of the light guiding unit, and an interval controlling part(140) formed on the sidewall or the bottom plate. The interval controlling part reduces an interval between a point light source and the lateral surface of the light guiding unit. The interval controlling part is a protrusion, which is protruded from the sidewall to press the point light source toward the lateral surface of the light guiding plate.
