A method and an apparatus for providing a PTT(Push-To-Talk) service using MMS(Multimedia Message Service) are provided to enable a user to rapidly and conveniently transmit an MMS message using an MMS function key, without passing through many input procedures. A mobile terminal, which provides a PTT service using MMS, comprises a message input part(120), a message creation part(140), and a transceiver part(150). The message input part(120) receives the user's input for either a voice message or a video message according to the user's PTT function operation. The message creation part(140) creates a PTT message using the message inputted through the message input part(120). The transceiver part(150) transmits the created PTT message to one or more receiving terminals corresponding to a preset PTT group using MMS.
